SNEAKERS!!!! besides, he is one big scary guy...;) bwahahaha!!!
"The King" B.J. Betts.
he started collecting sneakers when he was 15. now at 34, he has more than 500 pairs valued at more than a whopping $50,000.
because he of the massive number of sneakers, he puts anywhere from 10 to 15 pairs in rotation, wears them exclusively for a couple of
weeks...then starts a new rotation. when each rotation's time is up, he carefully checks every nook and cranny of each shoe before putting it back into its
original box and onto his stocking shelves. he even converted his computer room to his shoe room with racks and racks and racks of shoes line the walls
from floor to ceiling.
Betts says that he doesn't match his outfits to his shoes when he dresses. he basically just wears jeans and a T-shirt because
he wants any attention to focus his footwear."
see what i mean? not just women, people. not just women... hahahahaha!!!I want people to look at
the shoes. Why buy them if people don't
look? -B.J. Betts
years and years of having our moms and our girlfriends nag endlessly about our "stupid" sneaker obsessions, telling us they're useless and we'd never get
anything out of it (but their bags and shoes are "investments" jeez)...to them, i say, "BETTS!". who cares if they don't get it. they usually never
listen to what you say anyways.
Betts' fame for his sneaker collection has taken him to places where no white-collared insurance dude could ever
step foot on, or meet the people they could only watch on tv and jack off to after work. he's a regular at the Bread and Butter show, a strictly "invite only"
trade show for sneakers.
he has traveled to England to the New Balance factory, to Berlin to visit the Adidas
headquarters, and to the Netherlands to see trade shows in Amsterdam. at the New Balance factory, he designed his own
sneakers:
"I walked through the factory and picked my materials. My name was stitched on the tongue. I have the
only pair ever made, and that makes them invaluable," he said.
he started out as a full-time tattoo artist, and branched out (thank god) to
the world of sneaker design. i personally am a great fan of his work for Puma. he's the master behind the three lust-worthy and limited
Cubanbees.
