BLUE RIBBON SPORTS a.k.a. NIKE "SAMURAI/PHOENIX" PACK

any diehard Nike fan knows that its original name was "Blue Ribbon Sports Label". well, let's just say it was for the best that they changed it to "Nike". :D can you imagine getting all dressed up, lookin' tough and all, and say, "yo yo wassuuuupp?? check out my new Blue Ribbon Sports Labels man!!! you dig??".

it just wouldn't be right... ;)

so in tribute to their "fabulous" (lol) decision of changing names, Nike made a sneaker & clothing line under their original name, Blue Ribbon Sports Label (BRS). just to pay respects to their "roots", i guess. i dunno.

Nike's BRS recently released the "Samurai" & "Phoenix" Pack pictured below. the pack includes:

Air Force 1 Low

Dunk High
(the diamond print is made of a hair like material)

Air Force III High

Trainer SC

only shops that carry the BRS line carries these BRS sneakers. so yeah, they're still kindda limited. well, they will be once they get sold out. lol. so if you dig these kicks, better grab 'em now especially if you have a tendency to lose sleep over a pair. no need to be ashamed bout it...you're not alone, my friend. ;)

Coming Soon! NIKE Croc and Snakeskin AF1s

due to the major hype that the Hiroshi Fujiwara AF1's produced, Nike has decided to release these faux croc and snakeskin versions to the public on 2007. and a seamless croc one to be dropped this fall --still faux. faux, because they know not everybody is as loaded as Hiroshi Fujiwara and can afford the real deal *OUCH*. so we really don't have much of a choice, but settle for these.

and think about it, at least PETA won't be chasing us down the street and scream at us for being the devil's incarnate. plus you won't have to be stamped with a big "HYPOCRITE" sign on your foreheads if you claim to be the late Steve Irwing's biggest fan.

NIKE "LEMONADE" HIGHCOURT

Nike's new Court Force Hi's "Lemonade" is here, and it is juiccyy!

It's made in embossed leather with quirky details that's kind of Murakami-ish.
Think: Female Rockstar 2007.

Been sole-searching for so long?

My personal favorite part of this shoe is the sole. Translucent but in deliciously bright lime, you could almost taste it! This shoe is all about turning heads with its bright colors and wonderful details. All about the details! I love, love, love it!

What better way to get your dose of Vitamin Cs than with this shoe? ;)

NIKE HIROSHI FUJIWARA

you gotta want to BE somebody. think of all the perks alone that you get. like say, have a sneaker ESPECIALLY MADE by a collosal company like Nike for you?? and you just can't beat the Japanese for being especially on top of the list in everything. know what they say..."work hard, play hard". 'nuff said.

Hiroshi Fujiwara, founder of Honeyee, Fragment, hTm, Good Enough Japan, Head Porter etc., has had the pleasure of Nike having created him his OWN pair of sneakers. and by "own" as in just HIS and his alone. with all the signs of various companies he's involved in. and in no less than the iconic AIR FORCE ONEs.

"The Air Force 1 Low is featured by premium leather and croc skin in white color. Side panels are specially etched with hTm’s “H” logo monogram by laser. Besides, his name “HIROSHI FUJIWARA” is also etched on the inner side of heels. In additon, Fragment logo is sealed on the outer side of the heels. In short, the shoes is full of HF’s labels and personal style."

this is one very VERY special pair of sneakers

for more pics on the details of this shoe, click here.

now let's all get back to our work, & hopefully make something out of ourselves. ey, y'never know...maybe someday we'll have our own sneaks as well.

hahaha. fat chance.

NIKE X HIDEOUT FOOTSCAPE WOVEN

these are the original version of the Nike Woven Footscape.

however, we are talking about THE sneaker of the moment. The Hideout.
so much talk has been going on about this sneaker, it's kindda hard to just roll them all into one. it's basically a work of art, that y'all have to admire...and just BUY. no questions asked. but if you're one of the more serious type of collectors, and would wanna know ALL bout the shoe in the current spotlight, then we don't have much of a choice, now do we? lol.
behold the first ever collaboration of Hideout with Nike...

THE HIDEOUT AIR FOOTSCAPE

“Built upon the original 1995 Air Footscape outsole, this new style features a woven-together upper inspired by the Air Woven, thus allowing breathability. The asymmetrical lacing relieves top-of-foot pressure and the elimination of liner leather increases flexibility.

The ponyskin application seemed like a natural solution - not only befitting the shoe but also reflecting the ideas behind THE HIDEOUT’s interior. A matching pouch in ponyskin, suede and nylon has also been made for us by Porter Yoshida Japan, continuing with the theme of mixing rustic with technology.”

you might wanna check out the Hideout's official site for interviews with the hardcore experts!

these are the modern-day, & not to mention "all grown-up" version of those fuzzy slippers your mom bought for you when you were a kid. they'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside (because you were able to actually afford them and get your own pair & not share), not to mention totally OC on not getting them wet or dirty. which kindda makes me wonder if they'll smell like wet dog if you really DO get them wet? hmmm....

this may be Nike's first team up with Hideout, but from all the rad reviews this baby's been getting, we shouldn't be surprised if they come up with a PART II!!

for now, let's all just be happy with this first kick from their creative minds and await the drop-off tomorrow, September 9, 2006 at The Hideout in London. and will then be moving on to select sneaker specialty stores worldwide on September 16th.

*word is these babies were unexpectedly dropped off in Singapore two months ago before the scheduled release in the UK*

NIKE DQM AIR MAX 90 'BACON" RE-RELEASED

One of the most popular Air Max 90s of all time, the Nike Air Max 90 “Bacon”

SHOEGALLERY'S SCARFACE NEW ERA

ask any dude a list of their favorite movies of all time, and SCARFACE is definitely popping up...in whichever rank.

let's talk shallow references: MTV CRIBS. most, if not ALL ballers, players, hiphop stars, or any GUY (and some, even women) have at least a Scarface DVD. some have $3-posters (yep, even on Cribs)...but most, once the cashflow hits, shell out the greens on some killer collectibles. we all just can't get enough of Scarface. and true to that sense, NIKE and New Era joined forces to release a definite collector's must-have at Miami's Shoegallery.

go ahead...buy, or cry.

it's one of those things you just don't pass up on.

NIKE ZADIG & VOLTAIRE

Remember when we were younger, and everybody called us "the little princess"? Remember how warm, fuzzy and just simply goooood it felt? We even had those little tiaras and everything frilly and sparkly. Come on, don't you be shy and deny that. ;) As we get older, we kindda let go of that, but you know you still yearn for that special treatment deep, deep down inside.

Don't be embarrassed, who doesn't want to feel like royalty? Why do you think Paris Hilton is such a global hit? Because of her raw talent?? :D Uhh...excuse me, but no. She's famous because the world is fascinated with the fact that she's actually living the life that we *ahem* deserve. Or at least we could only dream of. :D

So, to feed our self-esteem and make ourselves feel like the pretty princesses we once were in the world's eyes, least we could do is wear those tees with the rhinestone crowns. That crown logo has been everywhere, even the real royals have complained and actually banned it from being used on other commercial entities --so as not to "degrade the image of the crown fit only for a true royal".

Yeah, yeah...whatever.

Ladies, let's bow down and give in to our delusions. The bigwigs have finally caught up with our love affair with royalty...or at least the feeling of royalty.

And you just can't get any more royal than in the oohlala colorway of gold and purple. Let them ban crowns, for all I care. :)

And despite the head-turning colorway, it's still pretty discreet and subtle. So nobody else would know about how narcissistic, materialistic, and delusional we really are. *teehee*

One of my personal favorite Parisian brands, Zadig & Voltaire, has caught up with the sneaker fever! Nike had these girls made especially for them. Zadig, zadig, zadig, zadig, zadigggg...

Most of their stores (16) are based in well, Paris. Duh. :) But our Zadig is getting bigger and better, people. They now have stores in Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, Japan, South Korea...and one in Los Angeles, California. The only one so far in the US.

NIKE FREE X-GIRL

Japanese company, Atmos and X-Girl has collaborated with Nike, and came up with 3 wild versions of Nike Free: Free, Free 5.0, and Free Trail 5.0.

I couldn't stand the other two, so I decided to post just these:

I'm not big on fashion, although I do appreciate it just as much as any other materialistic hag out there...but I don't know enough to know whether or not leopard prints and crazy bright colors are what's hot right now...or the world really is just bankrupt of creative ideas nowadays. :)

All I know is, these sneakers are so hilarious, and just...BUGLY, I just might actually BUY AND WEAR them! Haha.

NIKE MAGNETO AIR FORCE ONE

talk about loving X-MEN to the fullest...from head to TOE!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

this is actually a late post. these pics are exactly a month-old already, but i just had to post these kicks for the fun of it all.

i'm no BT&TT wit their psychedelic taste for LOUUUDDD footwear, but i'm totally digging these sneaks!!! just knowing that they EXIST just cracks me up,

mainly for amusement.

but hey, you gotta admit, we've been crazy about X-MEN since the comic book, the cartoon series, and the movie...and the fact that our generation now has

the means to impose our growing up years influences on major BIGTIME companies...Nike, for example...makes us proud to have even been born in this

century. whether you dig the 80's or not. HHAHAHAHA!!!

MAGNETO NIKE AIR FORCE ONES

the leather is texturized to have a "snakeskin" efffffecctt. *slither* SSSSSSSS!!!!!

and the UNQUESTIONABLY BEST part about this shoe is the MAGNETIZED swoosh on the sides. see the paperclips :P i want to buy these just to

test it out if it'll hold on to my fridge. :D prolly not, but hey, who cares? they're still pretty damn cool :D

hell, even the

box is cool. they GOTTA BE!!! we're talking Magneto here...the one who made us want to be "the bad guy", instead of the usual "hero". :D

YOU

LIKEEEE? you idolize Magneto and Nike, and you've finally seen what you've long been wasting all those worktime daydreaming whatifs for? you've been

stealing money from the old man's wallet since you were a kid just to collect all those X-MEN toys/comicbooks/clothes, and after dropping out of

highschool, you've been hauling ass just to buy all the stuff you've seen and these kicks would finally complete your collection? awwwwww...

well,

then hear me out...and prepare to WEEP. there are only TWO existing pairs in the world. one was up for grabs on

Ebay, size 10. what, you're a size 10 too? awwwwww...too bad it's already sold. :D

ain't life a bitch when you ain't got enough dough? tsk...we should all just meet up, hang out, have a few bottles, and cry together...

NIKE AIR FORCE ONE PHILIPPINES

Let me just say...

Whatever, and however you might feel about the Philippines, it doesn't really matter. ;)

I may not be one to go around the city (let alone the whole nation) and join protest rallies against...well, anything. And I may not be a Filipino that my country and people would be proud of --past, present, and probably the future, as well. In fact, I'm actually not a good citizen at all. I don't support the administration. I could care less about the opposition. I bitch about the system. I rant about the economy. I sass about the (modern) culture. I embrace the order of other nations, and I can never seem to run out of justifications to leave this country at least twice a year.

I am not a good Filipino...but damn it, I AM ONE.

So let me just scream to the world how ecstatic I am to have found out that two of my favorite things in the world, sneakers and the Philippine flag, have been hybridized:

The Nike Air Force One Philippines

Aren't they just purrty? :D Well, for Filipinos, dapat lang noh!

First it was Tim Yap's limited-edition wristwatch, now this. We should all be so happy Pinoys. :D

There's already too much Brazil and Jamaica in the market! After having all those OFWs scattered all over the globe, there's got to be at least ONE of you out there who's for Nike, Puma, Adidas, etc... SPEAK UP TO YOUR BOSSES YOU BROWN NOSERS!

Stand up for the third world!

We all know that hardly anybody believes in Ninoy's "The Filipinos are worth dying for..." anymore, but come on people! Nobody's asking you to die for them...just push that flag to your bosses and hopefully let them see the potential! ;) You never know, if you actually get a nod, it could be the biggest break you've ever had. It'll be life-changing for you, and for all of us. And if it doesn't really work out and call you, "stupid", well...tough luck. Not my problem. ;) The fact that you actually took my advice, could probably mean you really are. :D

Seriously, the only reason why I'm pushing this so hard is because of the fact that these Air Force One's were released on July 2006, with only 500 pairs dropped worldwide. And retailed at only $245, the chances of me actually getting my hands on a pair is slim to none. So because I am frustrated as hell after hours of searching for a pair for sale online and got nothing, I am pushing you people to do your part to make a difference. To give our country a little bit of its pride back...and to give ME back my shallow and materialistic happiness for a day, or two. ;)
